Service Details

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Hohner Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. A time of visitation will take place at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 p.m. Private interment will take place at a later date at South Portage Cemetery.

Obituary Notice

Carol Tuesley, 80, of Portage and formerly of Three Rivers, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022.

Carol was born in Battle Creek, Michigan on December 5, 1942, the daughter of the late Arthur and Katherine (Shoemaker) Wetherhill.

She was a graduate of Three Rivers High School and worked in the accounting departments at Clifton Engineering and Albright Oldsmobile. Carol also spent time with Lammon Realty and in 1981, she started her own greenhouse business, Tuesley Greenhouse.

Carol loved Saint Bernards and had many throughout her life.

On January 14, 1961, she was united in marriage to Robert E. Tuesley, who survives.

Carol is also survived by her two sons, Jeffery (Amanda) Tuesley and Robert O. (Cindy) Tuesley; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and sister, Trisha Hames.

Besides her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her brother, Ray Smith and sister, Charlotte Breece.

Memorial contributions in Carol’s memory may be given to ProMedica Hospice.

  1. I was sad to read of Carol’s passing. She and her family lived in Moorepark for many years. I have fond memories of her over the years especially when they brought trucks and trucks full of flowers to share with those of us who were unable to get to the greenhouses in Portage. RIP dear friend. In the words of Dr. Seuss’s, “ Death ends a life; Not a relationship. Hugs and prayers ❤️🙏

  4. My sister Carol leaves so many joyful memories for all of us in the family. She always watched out for me in my younger years and we treasured our talks about our growing up. I will miss those talks. To son Bob and Jeff I love you and know you also havegreat memories and give your dad strength to deal with the loss. My last wish is for my sister is to now rest and know we will always have you in our thoughts. You were my dear sister I have loved so dearly.

  5. I’m so terribly sorry to learn of Carol’s passing, she was one of the sweetest people I know. I was her maid of honor when she and Bob were married. And Bob, I’m so terribly sorry for your loss. And her son’s and their families have lost a very special lady. She was a hard worker with Bob and their greenhouse business so she can rest in peace now until we meet again❤❤❤❤
