Service Details

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 16, 2023 at noon with visitation one hour prior at Bethel Baptist Church, 17852 S. River Road, with Pastor Terry Cropper officiating. She will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery, at a later date.

Obituary Notice

Christine Charleymea Evans, 66, of Three Rivers, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023 at her home.

She was born May 8, 1957 in Three Rivers, the daughter and ninth child of Sterling and Margaret (Parker) White. She lived in Three Rivers her whole life.

Christine accepted Christ at an early age and her church home was Bethel Baptist Church. Christine graduated from the Three Rivers High School with the Class of 1975. She then attended and graduated from Glen Oaks Community College and continued her studies at Western Michigan to focus on accounting. She worked at Old Kent Bank, 5/3 Bank, and most recently American Axle & Manufacturing.

On 8/16/2009 she married Robert Evans. They shared their life together here in Three Rivers.

She leaves to cherish her memory and celebrate her life: her husband, Robert Evans; son, Michael (Megan) White; sister Harriet (Gwen) Jordan; brothers: Anthony (Tree) White; Lawrence (Diane) White Sr.; Lamon White; Orren White Sr.; Ronald (Donna) White Sr.; Sterling (Diane) White Jr.; grandchildren: Abigail, Aaliyah, Maggie, and Madison. And a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by both parents, and one sibling: Louis J. Henry-Swanigan.

  1. Sorry for your loss. I went to school with Christine at lake section now Norton. She was always so nice to me. I always liked talking to her when I’d go in the bank. She was a very dear person. She was very special. Sorry I just found out about her passing. The family is in my prayers.

She has the most amazing smile! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Wishing you comfort and peace as you remember her and all the memories she made with you, Robert and her family.

  3. My sincerest condolences to my long time neighbor and friend. She enjoyed fishing on River Road with me and the men we called the mud hole gang. Although I moved back home to Chicago, I would always see Chris when I would come back to visit. She always had a smile and warm greeting for me. May she rest in eternal peace.

    She and I went through school together and both graduated with the cass of ’75. In later years she and I would visit a bit when I did business with the bank.
    Christine was always a friendly soul and I enjoyed knowing her.
    May she rest in our Lords arms now and forever…….💐

  7. This is a shock to me. I went to school with Chris at Lake Section (Norton Elem) back in the day all the way through graduation. We also worked together at the bank. I am so sorry to hear this and send my condolences to her husband and son. Till we meet again Chris.

  8. I worked with Chris at Old Kent also 5/3 bank for many years. We were great friends and gambling buddies, driving to the boat several times.
    IAttending family reunions and so many other memories.
    I loved her and her family.
    My prayers go out to everyone in her family especially husband Robert and son Michael..
    She was a beautiful lady with a beautiful kind heart. She worked hard and was always joking saying she’d never be able to retire .
    Oh Chrissy you will be missed I’m grateful for the visits at the store just this last Wednesday before Thanksgiving .
    If I’d have known that would be the last time .

    So happy we hugged and told each other I love you. I can’t imagine what a beautiful reunion it must have been. Now your with your momma. I know how happy you are.
    She was such a special lady also.

  9. My Prays go out to the Family she was a very good auntie to my boys and me we love her she was a gift from God we was hoping to see everybody when we come to. ThreeRiver next year we will miss her but we know she’s happy. …… RIP

    • I worked with Christine at AAM for almost 10 years. I have known her since 1991. She was a wonderful person and such sweet and caring lady. I will truly miss her. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
