Obituary Notice

Daniel Miller II, 19, of Three Rivers, passed away Monday, November 6, 2023 in Kalamazoo.

He was born October 8, 2004 in Lansing, the son of Daniel Miller and Amy Colosky.

A 2023 Three Rivers High School graduate, Daniel earned a full-ride academic scholarship to Western Michigan University where he was studying to become a forest ranger.

Daniel was a hard worker who was employed at McDonald’s throughout high school; in his free time, he played online video games and enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing and camping. He loved music, especially Green Day, and – never afraid to try new things – was starting to learn guitar.

Growing up, he loved the Three Rivers Water Festival – the highlight of his summer visits with his grandmother.

Daniel will be remembered as kind, loving, and always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it.

Remaining to cherish his memory are his father, Daniel Miller; mother, Amy Colosky; grandparents, Mona Miller, Paul Miller, and Denise Colosky; great-grandmother, Cynthia Miller; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Colosky.

  1. Your precious smile will never fade from my memory. Your sweet demeanor will never slip away from my recollection of you. Every year that went by I mourned the loss of our connection and knew how foolish I was to have never taken the time to tell you that loosing you was the very worst part of walking away. You were never a step-son but my son from the moment I first held you. Please forgive me. I’ll never be okay.
