Obituary Notice

David Lee Kemp, 63, of Three Rivers, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born February 16, 1960 in Three Rivers, the son of Robert and Nancy (Cook) Kemp.

David served as a mechanic and transportation director for Mendon Schools over a tenure spanning a quarter century.

On September 19, 1980 he married Angela Zinsmaster and they went on to raise two children together.

David enjoyed racing stock cars and he and Angie were members of the Western Michigan Camaro Club for twenty years where they went on numerous adventures and made countless memories and great friends.

David’s favorite activity was watching all his grandchildren play sports. 

Remaining to cherish his memory are his wife, Angie Kemp; son and daughter in law Nick and Christy (Pulver) Kemp; his daughter and son in law Tiffany (Kemp) and Tim Huston; his mother Nancy Bolinger; step mom Clara Schutz; two brothers and his favorite people of all, his grandchildren Aubree and Carter Huston; Asher, Miles and Audra Kemp.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Kemp.

    So sorry to learn of Dave’s passing. Although we’ve not crossed paths often over the past several years, it was always a pleasure to see him when I did. We never lacked for conversation. Lol! May fond memories bring a smile to your face, and warmth to your heart. God bless you all.

  2. David was a life long friend he had a smile on his face any time I seen him he also had a big heart and like to give a helping hand prayers for the family

  3. I will always remember all the great times we have had together in the Camaro Club. Dave will be remembered by me as a kind and giving person. You always knew he loved his family so much!! He was a proud husband, dad, and grandpa. I love you Angie. Hugs and prayers for all of you for your loss!!

  4. From Donald Lee Yost This is from a old friend I will never forget Dave he was the kind of friend you could always count on. If he told you something or he would be there he was. Every since about 1974 the topic we always talked about was cars and car parts he was one of the best transmission rebuilders I’ve ever seen. He will be missed gone to soon R.I.P. old friend ❤️
