Service Details

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from noon – 1:00 p.m. at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jared Steiner officiating.

Obituary Notice

Delores Ann Pinkerton, 77, of Constantine, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021 at her home.

She was born June 30, 1944 in Three Rivers, the daughter of Carson and Ila (Welburn) Bell.

She graduated from Three Rivers High School in 1962.

On June 27, 1964 she married Carl Pinkerton. They loved each other very much, was always there for one another and their daughter.

Delores enjoyed retirement by spending time with family, watching her favorite television game shows and the birds in her feeders, especially the cardinals.

She was always a hard worker, a loving wife and mother. Delores’ favorite vacation was a cruise with her husband, sister-in-law and brother-in-law. She could be persistent at times but was also known to delight in joking around and her laughter.

Remaining to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sharon Sill; sister, Cheryl Creager; brother, LaMar Bell; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, in 2016 and son-in-law, Randy Sill, this past July.

Donations in Delores’ memory may be directed to Binder Park Zoo, 7400 Division Dr., Battle Creek, MI  49014. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.

We were friends with Delores in high school in Three Rivers and at the Three Rivers Bible Church, We had good times with her and her family and especially remember a wintery drive to Camp Barakel in northern Michigan with her dad driving. We extend our condolences to you, Sharon, and the rest of the family.

  2. Sharon I will forever remember the conversation with your Mom at Randy’s memorial service, as I assured her that you would be taken care. I know this isn’t the ending you were planning-but I’m glad that she knew you were going to be ok. Great peace for a moms heart.

  3. Sharon, Cheryl, Lamarr, April and the rest of your family. Delores always said hi to me, every time we would run into each other. The last time, I saw her, we spent some time catching up on the news. She will be missed.

  4. Aunt dee was the best aunt, she always catered to me and hugged me. I loved her hugs, and her giggle. I remember as a child being at her place and picking the grapes in the back yard. She is so loved and will be missed. I’m sure God’s glory is shining on her

  5. She seemed like such a sweetheart. I loved being able to talk with her when she was in town last. I was looking forward to getting to know her better when she moved down here. I’m so sorry for this loss, especially right on the heels of losing Randy. Please know you are in our prayers.

  6. I will miss my next door neighbor. We often talked about our families when we took time out while mowing our lawns. I would try to help with things after Carl passed away cause it was the right thing to do. We were neighbors since 2007 and they both will be greatly missed .Rest in peace my friend.

  7. Dee was a wonderful woman who always had a smile. I worked with both her and Carl at Ventline/Philips for many years. She was very helpful and kind. You could hear her laughter from anywhere in the shop.
