Obituary Notice

Dennis Jones, age 63, of Three Rivers, Michigan passed away suddenly in the early hours of Monday, February 24th, 2020 at his home.  He was born on June 26th, 1956 in Belding, MI to Jim and Jeanette Hulliberger.

Dennis was an area business owner for over 30 years where he employed countless individuals and was known as an honest, kind, and caring leader of people.  The wellbeing of his employees and their families was always his most important consideration.  Dennis enjoyed traveling “out west” or “up north” with his family for adventures in the outdoors including hiking, camping, and snowmobiling.  He was an extremely caring and giving person who was constantly looking for ways to help those around him.  Whether it was rebuilding a car, remodeling a house, or discussing politics or science, Dennis was a wealth of competence and knowledge and never lost the desire or curiosity to always keep learning and sharing that knowledge with others.  It was rare for an individual to meet Dennis and walk away not having learned something from him, taught him something, or most likely both.  He was always quick with a laugh, a hug, or a helping hand depending on what those around him needed most.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kimberly Jones; daughter, Brandi (Jake) Reilly; sons, Ryan and Nathan (Kara) Jones as well as his mother, 12 grandchildren; 2 sisters, 4 brothers, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

  1. Dennis was a great friend and boss. He was fair and caring. We had lots of great times with Dennis and his family and were shocked to hear of his sudden death. Not to long ago his long time business burned in motteville. So sad to hear he has passed. Hugs and Prayers to the Jones family. R.I.P Dennis.

  2. Dennis drove to NC with a trailer and helped me move back to MI after my husband died unexpectedly. He wouldn’t accept a dime and did his very best to lessen my sadness during the trip. We shared so many fun times as families when our kids were little. You will be missed Dennis.

        • Dennis has been my neighbor for many many years. Not just a neighbor but a great neighbor. I will miss talking to him and waving at him from my front porch and having a good laugh when we ran into each other at Hoffman street. Rest in peace Dennis you were a good man and my condolences to all of the family

  3. I’m so blessed to have met Dennis as a young teenager and quickly saw and felt his impact on people around him! Over the past 20 years whenever I ran into him, I was sure to get a big hug and great conversation about how we were both doing in life. He’s the type of guy that no matter how long you went without seeing him when you did, it felt like yesterday! Sending love & light to the whole family! Love you all! I know our son is in the great presence of Dennis in the sweet heavenly skies above!

  4. Dennis was a great guy and I knew him from being one of our fiberglass suppliers. He always had a smile even when things were down. Always hopeful and would bend over backwards to help make anything right. He will surely be missed and oh how he loved his family and grandchildren. They were the sparkle in his eyes!
