Service Details

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers. A memorial service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Jamey Smith officiating. A video of her service is available here.

Obituary Notice

Erika Michelle Clark, 46, of Marcellus, passed away Friday, January 19, 2024 at Cass County Medical Care Facility.

She was born June 16, 1977 in Niles, the daughter of John G. and Valaria L. (Hartsell) VanTilburg, and graduated from Marcellus High School with the Class of 1995.

Erika worked as a certified nursing assistant at the Cass County Medical Care Facility prior to caring for her boys as a stay-at-home mom.

Erika loved gardening, flowers, and the outdoors – especially camping and canoeing. She enjoyed knitting and sewing, which showcased her many creative abilities. She also enjoyed cleaning and organizing at her home and was happiest when spending time with family and friends, caring for her boys and listening to music.

Remaining to cherish her memory are her mother, Val Ford; sons, Devon (fiancée Karly) Clark and Oliver (Karly) Clark; grandchildren, Ava, Zowie, Delilah, Navy, and Lydia; brother, Jason VanTilburg (Kristin); sister, Brooke (Corey) Riggs; several nieces and nephews; nearest and dearest friend, Angie Ryan.

She was preceded in death by her father, John VanTilburg.

Additional Information

Donations in Erika’s memory may be directed to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or to her family in care of Erika Clark. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.

  1. I am so sorry for your families loss. I went to school with Erika. She took care of my dad before he passed and my nephew Seth. I appreciate how well she cared for them. She had such a beautiful smile.

  2. We are so sorry for the family’s loss of Erika. She was our neighbor here for years. We were witness to her yard full of beautiful flowers every year. We know she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this time.

  3. Erika was a wonderful person. I met her while doing apartment maintenance. She was always happy and always had a smile on her face. I’m terribly sorry to l for your loss. My God be with you all.
