Obituary Notice

Gale A. Spence
JAN. 8, 1946 – SEPT. 29, 2026

Gale was born to Eloise and Erie Spence. He served his country in the United States Army from 1961 to 1969.

Gale owned and operated Spence Trucking from 1969 until his retirement. Afterward, he spent a few years hauling sand and gravel for Brusky.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, driving his truck, and riding his motorcycle. He especially enjoyed motorcycle road trips with his wife, Cindy, and Anita and Terry Proffitt.

Gale was grateful for the many trips Todd and Chris Spence made to visit, help, and care for him. His favorite person to take him to all his doctor’s appointments was Deanna Gage. He also appreciated the dinners Nicole Whitehead cooked for the family.

Gale is survived by his wife, Cindy; his sons, Mike (Dena) Spence and Cory (Cori) Spence; his grandchildren, Azureya (Luke) Miller, Aaron, Tyler, Bella, Cobe, and Cash; and his honorary grandsons, Cameron and Caden. He is also survived by his sister, Janet (Steve) Shafer, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, Bill McGlothlen; his brothers, Wally and Jerry; his sister, Linda; and his niece, Susan.
