Service Details

Visitation will be held Friday, December 22, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers. Pastor Ryan Lutz will officiate. She will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery.

Obituary Notice

Gwendolyn Joyce Kline, 86, of Three Rivers, passed away Monday, December 18, 2023 at Sparrow House in Sturgis.

She was born December 4, 1937 in Three Rivers, the daughter of Ryald G. and Muriel (Sandveg) Marvin, and graduated from Three Rivers High School with the Class of 1955.

While in high school, Gwendolyn met the love of her life Ronald Kline, and the two were married in 1959. The couple enjoyed traveling together.

She attended beauty school, and put her skills to good use styling her mother’s hair throughout her life. She worked in the Three Rivers Middle School cafeteria and was a top notch cake decorator and floral decorator.

Gwendolyn was actively involved at Light & Life Wesleyan Church and its women’s group, as well as the Red Hat Society.

A witty, happy, outgoing person, she had a heart of gold and was loved by many.

Remaining to cherish her memory are her husband, Ronald Kline; daughter, Amy (Jerome) Bonine; grandson, Branden Bonine (Kayla Vaillancourt); great-grandson, Zeke; and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Roger Kline, in 2022; her parents; brother, Roger Marvin; aunts and uncles.

Additional Information

Donations in Gwendolyn’s memory may be directed to Light & Life Wesleyan Church or the Alzheimer’s Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.

  1. I truly enjoyed spending time with Gwen while employed at The Sparrow House. She was an absolute character and filled the room with laughter with her quick words… whatever they were! It was a pleasure meeting Ron and Amy. I’m sorry she’s not physically here, but SHE will always be remembered ❤️.
