Service Details

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 21, 2022 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers. A funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Don Smith officiating. A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens, 2200 K-Ville Ave., Auburndale, FL.

Obituary Notice

Helen Mae Smith, 89, of Three Rivers, passed away Friday, June 17, 2022 at Fairview Nursing & Rehabilitation in Centreville.

She was born March 11, 1933 in Rockford, Michigan, the daughter of Dale and Mable (Hagen) Pierson. She earned her L.P.N. degree and worked as a nurse at Parkview Memorial Hospital for more than 40 years.

Helen enjoyed quilting and knitting, and especially loved her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Horace Ray Smith.

Remaining to cherish Helen’s memory are two sons, Jack (Mary Ellen) Smith and Roger (Darcy) Smith; daughters, Kathleen Minton and Nancy (Kenny) Hoover; 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; brother, Charles (Dixie) Miller.

Additional Information

Donations in Helen’s memory may be directed to the American Cancer Society or to Parkinson’s Foundation. Envelopes are available at the funeral home in care of her arrangements.
