  1. When I was secretary at the church, he would stop at the office to say, “Hi.” And he would always say something to make me laugh or smile. If time permitted, he would tell me stories of when he was a kid. And he made sure, many times, that I got a rose when he brought them to church to share. I have missed him being there while he was ill, and I will continue to miss seeing him there. Prayers for peace and comfort to all the family.

  2. Very sorry for your loss. He will be missed. He was my neighbor for years and always greeted you with a smile. A very gentle soul. Thoughts and prayers for his family in this difficult time.

  3. I will always remember Hubert’s sly smile, quick wit, endless volunteering with the youth and VBS. He opened his home, barn and pool to the church with such hospitality. One summer Kris babysat my three elementary age kids. They still recall swimming, fishing, paddle boat rides and Hubert’s little train. Hubert truly was the salt of the earth. Blessings on your family. He was a great man.

  4. Uncle Hubert was a wonderful man and will be missed by many. Todd & I, Austin & Anna, CJ, Ashley & Elora, wish we could be there for his service. We will keep y’all in our thoughts and prayers.

    Christie McDonald
