  1. In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson: “The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, not the kindly smile, nor the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when you discover that someone else believes in you and is willing to trust you with a friendship”.

Iverna and I formed a friendship when we were roommates at the YWCA; recent graduates that became young professional workers. She went with a Law Firm and I went with Michigan Bell.

Friendships never die; they just pass on into eternity. My prayer for you, the family, is that soon your tears of sadness will be replaced with smiles and laughter of special memories you shared with Iverna.

  2. My sincerest sympathy to the Shelton Family on the loss of Iverna. Although I cannot be there in person, my thoughts and prayers are with everyone.
