Service Details

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Hohner Funeral Home on Thursday, August 27, 2020.  Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 28, 2020 at Riverside Cemetery, Three Rivers with Mr. Glenn Chambliss officiating.

Obituary Notice

Jean Marie Johnson, age 92, long time resident of Three Rivers, entered into the everlasting kingdom of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, August 24, 2020. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend who welcomed all into her heart and life.

Jean worked diligently all her life to provide for her family at various jobs and businesses including the Continental Can Company in Three Rivers and the Lear Corporation in Mendon.  She was a Golden Eagle member of Three Rivers Eagles #2303 and the American Legion Auxiliary, an active member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, and a volunteer at C.O.A. lunches at Klines Resort.

She loved crocheting, gardening and blessing others with her humor and wisdom as well as sending notes of encouragement to help those going thru difficult illnesses.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Leland and Robert Pierce; her sister, Joyce Hoyt; her husband, George Johnson; three sons, Steve Harriman, Douglas Johnson and Lee Roy Johnson; daughter, Susan Johnson.  Left to cherish her loving memory are her sister, Patricia Green; son, Jeffery (Lois) Harriman; daughter, Betty King, grandchildren, Christian (Robyn) Harriman, Katrina White, Stephanie (Michael) Anthony, Susan King, Jessica Leason, Cassandra (Brandon) Stevens, Colt Larsen, Breanna Johnson, Trenton (Madisyn) Johnson and 13 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and multiple friends.

Additional Information

Jean believed that flowers were food for the soul. In remembrance of her, please send flowers to someone who needs encouragement or appreciation, a friend, neighbor, shut-in or other person to uplift them and brighten their day. Memorials may be donated to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or Westwood MBC/Israel, 3210 Ave G NW, Winter Haven, FL 33880. Envelopes are available and may be sent to Hohner Funeral Home in care of arrangements.

  1. Aunt Jean was always there for anyone who needed help.
    A good sense of humor was just one of her many attributes.
    She was a loving and loyal sister to my mother, Pat Green.
    Jean Johnson will be forever missed by so many people.

    • I worked at Lear also. But knew of her before that. My husband worked with her sons.She was a very nice lady She had a heart of gold. See u in heaven Jean.hugs n prayers for comfort to her family.

    • I have very fond memories of Jean from when I was a child. She and my Mother, Dorothy (Ransbottom) Hartzell were best of friends and my siblings (Larry, Sandra and Bill Hartzell) ani I spent many fun times with Jean and the family.
