Obituary Notice

John Kent “Jack” Zeiler, 82, of Three Rivers, peacefully went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, August 3, 2026, at his home, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on October 23, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, Jack was the son of Rudolph J. and Wilda A. (Dorgan) Zeiler. He graduated from St. Joseph’s College with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and went on to build a successful career while living a life marked by integrity, generosity, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.

Jack proudly served his country in the Illinois National Guard.

On September 15, 2001, he married the love of his life, Lynn (Weber) Zeiler. Together they shared nearly 25 wonderful years filled with love, laughter, faith, and countless treasured memories. Whether boating on Pleasant Lake, enjoying evenings at the cabin, gathering around a card table for spirited games of Bridge or Euchre, or simply spending time with family and friends, Jack found joy in life’s simple blessings.

Jack had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He loved fishing at Goose Lake and during his annual trips to Canada, tending his garden, planting beautiful flowers, woodworking, and preparing delicious meals for those he loved. He was always happiest when creating something with his hands or sharing time with family.

A devoted member of Riverside Church, Jack lived out his faith through service, kindness, and compassion. He also faithfully served on the Pleasant Lake Association Board, working to preserve and improve the lake community he loved.

Above all else, Jack’s greatest joy was his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose quiet strength, steady presence, and generous heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Lynn Zeiler; his son, Jon (Nora) Zeiler; his daughter, Jennifer (David) Ortiz; his stepdaughters, Tracey (Laverne) Parker and Rebecca Ackerman; his grandchildren, Jake (Gabby) Zeiler, Allie Zeiler, Ryan Zeiler, Jack Furmanek, Nick Furmanek, Marissa Parker, Tyler (Claudia) Parker, Abby (Fletcher) Ackerman, and Maddy Ackerman; his cherished great-grandchildren, Everly and Vella; his sister, Terry (Al) Santucci; his brother-in-law, Michael Taylor; his sister-in-law, Penny Zeiler; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
