Service Details
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 4, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 645 S. Douglas Ave., Three Rivers, with Fr. Arul Lazar officiating. She will be laid to rest in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Kalamazoo.
Obituary Notice
Joyce Geraldine Keane, 99, of Three Rivers, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2026 at her home.
She was born April 11, 1927 in Riverside, Ill., the daughter of Charles and Emily Fara.
In 1946 she married George Keane. Together they enjoyed traveling to Notre Dame football games both home and away, and spending time on Corey Lake.
Joyce was a dedicated volunteer for the Kennedy School for the Intellectual and Developmentally Disabled in Palos Park, Ill.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and was active in the Daughters of Mary. She was also involved in the Three Rivers Woman’s Club and the Carnegie Center for the Arts.
An avid reader, Joyce enjoyed participating in book club. She also enjoyed gardening and travel, and at election time could be found working at the polls.
She also had several pets she loved very much.
Remaining to cherish her memory are her son, Gregory (Maria) Keane; daughter, Deborah (Robert) Sola; grandchildren, Christiane Sola, Patrick (Christine) Sola, Andrew (Anna) Sola, and Yvette (John) Glaser; many beloved great-grandchildren; sister, Lynn Hopkins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Keane; daughter, Kathryn Harty; and brother, Charles Fara.

Donations in Joyce’s memory may be directed to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Envelopes will be available at the church and at Hohner Funeral Home.

Joyce was such a remarkable friend. She loved her family and always talked highly of them. She loved her home on Corey lake and all her friends. She was so active and involved in so many things. I will so miss all our visits. She was so special!
We had the pleasure of growing up on Corey Lake with the Keane family. Great memories & a wonderful family . RIP

Dear Keane and Sola families,
Please accept our most heartfelt condolences in your bereavement. Joyce Geraldine was a remarkable person whom we unfortunately never had the chance to meet over here on the othe side of the Atlantic. Yet, what we have learnt from our son in law Andy Sola and our daughter Anna , his wife, was sufficient to admire her for ever. May she rest in peace and be present in the loving memory of her family and friends.
