Service Details

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Hohner Funeral Home with Pastor Joel Messenger officiating.

Interment will be held at Moorepark Cemetery.

Obituary Notice

Katherine (Kathie) Lynn Rohrer, age 63, of Three Rivers, passed away early Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Bronson Methodist Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 7, 1955 in Three Rivers, MI, the daughter of the late William and Mary (Griffin) McGlothlen.

A lifelong resident, Kathie graduated from Three Rivers High School and married the love of her life Charles “Chuck” Rohrer on May 21, 1977. She was employed for many years with Michigan Gas Company and then on to Walters Dimmick. Chuck and Kathie were members of the Three Rivers Elks and Eagles and Kathie was very active in her younger years in Sports Boosters and more recently Relay for Life. Her greatest love and joy was family, especially watching over her seven beloved grandboys.

Kathie was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Bill McGlothlen; and one brother-in-law, Bill Rohrer.

Kathie leaves to cherish her loving memory, her husband Chuck Rohrer; one son, Travis (Danielle) Rohrer and their sons, Tre, Tate, and Tyson Rohrer; one daughter, Torri (J.J.) Moreland, and their sons, Landon, Ethan, Owen, and Griffin; stepmother, Tamara McNeal; two sisters, Cindy (Gale) Spence and Debbie McGlothlen; sister-in-law Michelle (Kelly) Boyle; brother-in-laws, Richard (Melody), Steve (Dallas), and Eric (Wendy) Rohrer; and several special nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be donated to Relay for Life of St. Joseph County. Envelopes available at the Hohner Funeral Home.

I had the pleasure of taking care of Kathie and meeting the entire family during Kathies illness and will be forever touched by the love and togetherness the entire family showed during every bump in the road. Kathie made my day, every time i would walk into her room and she would smile. I will never forget her or the rest of the family. I am so sorry for your loss.

  2. Chuck, we’re so sorry to hear about Kathie. Her spunkiness and great sense of humor will be missed. I remember how she kept us all laughing in school. She was a go getter and a leader. She will be missed. Stay strong my friend.

She was a mentor to me and I learned a huge amount of knowledge from her in the years working with her at Walters Dimmick.She taught me how to believe in myself and how not to worry about what others thought. She will certainly be missed and a huge loss for her friends and family.

  9. Kathie was a good friend of mine many years ago. I was in her and Chuck’s wedding. We spent so many evenings together dancing and just having fun. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. Many prayers to you, Chuck, and your family, that you will get through the pain of your loss.
