Kelly Sue (Hester) Elnick, age 52, of Three Rivers, MI passed away in the evening hours on Friday, April 26, 2019 after battling lung and bone cancer courageously for two years. She was born in Three Rivers, MI on October 19, 1966 the daughter of Ray J. and Joyce A. (Ash) Hester.
Kelly grew up in Vicksburg, MI and attended Vicksburg Schools graduating in 1984. In November of 1993 she married the love of her life Ricky Elnick at the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Kalamazoo, MI. Together they raised three beautiful children.
She received an Associate’s degree from Glenn Oaks Community College and worked at Bronson Methodist Hospital for many years as a Patient Care Assistant. Kelly loved her job and worked in the Nuclear Medicine department until she could no longer work.
Kelly loved to garden, paint, clean her house, go shopping, go out to breakfast, lunch and dinner with her family, have bonfires, summer parties, holidays, and going to the lake. If there was ever a chance to go on an adventure she would be the first to pack a bag. Northern Michigan was her favorite destination and she made a point out of planning a trip at least once a year.
She lived a fulfilling life of laughter and love. Kelly was known for her contagious laughter and kind heart. She always had a smile on her face and her love for her family and friends was selfless, regardless of the battles she was fighting.
