Service Details
In accordance with family wishes, cremation will be conducted.
We will be doing a ride on September 5th, cars and bikes are welcome. We will line up at 12:30, leave at 1pm and ride to Athens to spread some of his ashes for anyone who would to pay respects and ride back to 17819 Featherstone Rd., Constantine, MI 49042 start to finish for a benefit dinner and celebration of life donations boxes will be out for those who would like to donate to help cover the cost of medical expenses that are outstanding.
Obituary Notice
Kenneth Eugene Walden, 53, of Constantine, passed away Monday, August 17, 2026 at Bronson Methodist Hospital.
He was born June 22, 1973 in Coffee County, Tennessee, the son of Al Young and Julie Walden, and moved to Michigan in his teenage years.
Kenneth worked as an auto parts sales associate. He loved his job; he enjoyed his colleagues and always thought of them as family. He also enjoyed his customers, he had a great relationship with many of them. All of them would often joke and catch up with him at his job stops, they would even call him sometimes from time to time. If they had questions, he would always do his best to answer any of them.
He enjoyed motorcycle riding and was a resident mechanic for all his family and friends. Always ready to lend a helping hand, he would give the shirt off his back to anyone.
Kenneth married Melissa Girardot on June 24, 2023 in Mottville at her father’s house. Together they built a very busy farm life together. They were always busy working on the farm house they bought together; he was always working on home improvements with his wife. When they were not busy with the farm life, they enjoyed traveling and camping, fishing with the kids and trail rides together and late night motorcycle rides together. He was always busy enjoying life with his wife and kids; some would say together they were unstoppable – together they made the perfect team. His love for his wife and children was always seen in everything that he did.
Remaining to cherish his memory are his wife, Melissa Girardot; sons, Austin, Kenneth, and Cody Walden; daughter, Tasha Gose; stepchildren, Gene Howard, Faith Waldron, Annabella Girardot, and Doug Rosen II; grandchildren, Douglas Rosen III, Martha Rosen, and Oakley Walden; brother, Jason Walden, sisters, Catherine Ann Francis, Sandy Johnson, Candy Briggs, and Cindy Leach; mother-in-law, Jackie Reiff; father-in-law, James Connelly; brothers-in-law, James Connelly and James Leach; many beloved nieces and nephews including Mavis and Malerie Connelly.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by his sister, Lacey McClain.
