Service Details
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 817 Eighth St., Three Rivers. A funeral service will follow at noon at the church with Pastor Tony Bennett officiating. She will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery.

Laverne Galloway, 61, of Three Rivers, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, July 4, 2021.
She was raised in Chicago, Ill., where she was born July 31, 1959 the daughter of Eddie and Ernestine (Bottamon) Jones. She later moved to Three Rivers and graduated from Three Rivers High School.
Laverne worked in home health care and attended New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Three Rivers. She enjoyed cooking and dancing, and was the highlight of every event!
Remaining to cherish her memory are her son, Taris King, and her daughter, Sabrina Cole. Her siblings, Donald Rhodes Sr., Ronnie Rhodes Sr., Lee Rhodes Sr., Renae Rhodes Martin and Valerie Rhodes. Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Galloway, whom she married in May 2006; her daughter, Tameka Jones; her mother, Ernestine Herring; her father, Eddie Jones; other family members of the Rhodes, Langon and Jones family.

I’m not sure if I had ever met Laverne but I believe I went to school with Lee many many years ago back in 1981. Sorry for the families loss. May the Lord give you all comfort in this sad time.
