A funeral service will be held at the Hohner Funeral Home on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 1:30 p.m., with Pastor Jerry Solis officiating.

Obituary Notice

Lawrence Allen “Larry” Wine, age 62, of Three Rivers, passed away on Monday afternoon, October 12, 2020 following a lengthy battle with cancer. Larry was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on January 29, 1958 to Harold O. and Marian J. (Shelley) Wine. Larry was a big man with even a bigger heart and full of faith.  Larry married Diane Kline on October 9, 1998. Diane described Larry as someone who always found the best in other people. They enjoyed travel together in their 22 years of marriage.

Larry retired in January as a machinist at Bowers Manufacturing.

Larry was preceded in death by his father Harold Wine, Stepfather, Ralph Wine, granddaughter, Zaretta Wine and Nephew Doug Wine II. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Diane, mother Marian Wine, many brothers and sisters as well as four children from a previous marriage to Phyllis Brown. Their four children are James Wine, Lawrence Wine Jr, Steven Wine and Becky Wine. Steven and wife, Jamie gave Larry two grandchildren, Jasmin and Cody. Steven and wife, Cindy gave Larry another grandchild, Aiden. A great-grandchild, Emily, was born the daughter of Jasmin Wine. Larry was blessed to see Emily for the first time just two days prior to his death. Lawrence Jr was married to Janet who gave him three more grandchildren: Dylan, Alex and Nathan.

When Diane and Larry were married, she brought him his stepchildren Michael and Amy Kline, Brian and Stacie Kline and Eric and Stacie Kline.

Michael and Amy have two children, Ashly and Zoey. Brian and Stacie have two children, Tayler and Levi. Eric and Stacie also have two children Zachary and Livia.

Additional Information

Larry & Diane have requested that memorial donations be made in his memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Envelopes are available at Hohner Funeral Home in care of arrangements.

  1. I am so sorry for your loss Diane. I had the privilege of Larry workin for me for awhile and then he cared for the residents. He was a guy that would do anything to help you. I wish I could be with you today but you and his family will be in my prayers. May he have Eternal Rest.

  2. It is true that Larry had a big heart. He truly loved our mother. It gives me some comfort knowing your not suffering anymore. You will be missed. Thank you for loving our mother unconditionally.

  3. Sending my condolences & prayers to Larry’s family .I never met you but did have the pleasure of working with Larry years ago @ The Three Rivers Manor .Larry was the kindest , hard working friendly co worker, may God comfort you in your moment of sorrow.
