Service Details

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until services beginning at noon at First Baptist Church of Newberg, 13021 Born St., Jones, MI 49061. Interment will be held at Poe Cemetery, Newberg Twp, MI.

Obituary Notice

Lisa Louise Chiddister, age 54, of Three Rivers passed away on Friday, September 4, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Three Rivers, MI on March 24, 1966 the daughter of William J. and Margene (Hardy) Chiddister.

Growing up Lisa fell in love with horses and showed countless breeds at 4-H during the Cass County Fair. She was a graduate of Marcellus High School in 1984. Lisa enjoyed horseback riding, snow skiing, and taking constant care of her yard and plants. She also was a talented cook and enjoyed lifting people’s spirits with her wonderful meals.

Lisa was preceded in passing by her mother, Margene “Jeannie” Chiddister; grandparents, John & Yula Chiddister and Dean & Marie Hardy; beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.

She leaves to cherish her memory father, William “Bill” (Diana) Chiddister; sister, Robin (Michael) Stranski; nieces, Michaela, Meghan, and Lisa. Because of her endless devotion for animals she treated her pets as her children. Her horse, Charlie; beloved dogs, Haven, Apollo, Tagia, and Tiffany.

Additional Information

Memorial donations in Lisa’s memory may be directed to the Fabius-Park Fire Department or Three Rivers Health Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the church and also may be sent to Hohner Funeral Home in care of arrangements. Online condolences may be shared at www.hohnerfh.com.

I was friends with Robin and played ball with her and Lisa was her younger sister. Always loved both of them, their kindness and sense of humor was genuine. My heart goes out to all. ❤️❤️❤️

I will miss you very much but am very happy that you have found the Lord and will be waiting for the rest of use in a much better place. I will cherish the many years together we had growing up.
