Service Details

Her family will receive friends Thursday, March 20, 2025 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Paul Booko officiating. Afterwards there will be a late luncheon at the Eagles in Three Rivers for fellowship and remembering the life of Lori.

Obituary Notice

Lori Ann Rathburn, 68, of Three Rivers, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2025 at Ascension Borgess Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born September 16, 1956 in Midland, the daughter of Stanley and Madilyn (Hunter) Berriman, and graduated from Midland High School. Her Grandma Hunter made her lunch every day in elementary school. She grew up with her 2 sisters (Connie and Beth), and brother, Joe. They always were a close family. Connie and Lori had some fun adventures in their late teens.

On September 29, 1990 Lori married Steve Rathburn. She was his best friend and traveling buddy. They had so many adventures together all around the world having fun, making new friends and beautiful memories. They raised their 4 children, Sara, Shannon, Rachel, and Josh together in a home full of love.

She was a supportive wife, daughter, sister, mom, grandma, and friend. To know Lori was to love her. She worked for many years in the human resources department at Ameri-Kart in Bristol, IN and enjoyed this work. When she moved to South Korea, she became an English teacher for all ages.

Lori had a strong faith in God and loved her church. She enjoyed being on the water, going to the casino, listening to music, and most of all, spending time with her family and friends.

Remaining to cherish her memory are her husband, Steve Rathburn; son, Josh Rathburn; daughters, Sara Troup, Shannon (Zack) Baker, and Rachel Bonarski; brothers, Joe Berriman, Tim (Cathy) Mast, Duane (Nora) Mast, and Joe Mast; and sisters, Connie Grove, Beth (Ron) DeWitt, MaryAnn Mast, and Margaret Mast; additionally 13 grandchildren and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Additional Information

Donations in Lori’s memory may be directed to the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

  1. Dear everyone, it’s Lena. I love my grandma to pieces. She was so loving in every way. Her travel buddy was my grandpa Steve. he’s so sweet too. He is pretty sad about Lori. but the memories I remember about her is that when my mom had to teach she always played and did puzzles. I am the youngest cousin and sibling also the youngest grandchild ❤️🩷💜💚🧡 she was my fav grandma. love lena

    .I loved her sense of humor and warm heart. Loved her husband Steve and sister Beth. My prayers are with you and hope you know she is in a better place and no more pain.. rsp.

  3. When I think about Lori, I think of someone who was a firecracker. She was a lot of fun to be around and never a dull moment in her presence. She had a fierce and deep love for Steve, her children and grandchildren. She was a great mother-in-law and grandma to each of our kids. She truly would light up a room with her personality and would give the shirt off her back to help others. Thank you for being you, Lori. You will be deeply missed and cherished by many. So happy to know that you are now singing and dancing with the angels in the presence of your Lord and Savior. Praying that God surrounds the family with God’s presence and gives them to peace and comfort that transcends all understanding during this extremely tough time.

  4. Lori was a fun cousin. There are many memories of time spent together in Michigan at our grandparents in Midland and at the lake. So glad we have stayed in touch over the years and had a memorable cousins reunion last year at Mid Forest Lodge. She will be missed
