At her request she has been cremated. Her ashes will be buried alongside her husband’s ashes at Poe’s Cemetery in Jones on Friday, September 20, 2024 at noon; friends of Marilyn are welcome to attend.

Obituary Notice

Marilyn Marie (Paul) Ward, 81, of Three Rivers, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Birch Meadows Senior Care in Three Rivers.

She was born March 12, 1943 in Everett, Washington, the daughter of Olga (Edmunds) and Raymond Paul, and graduated from Everett High School in 1961.

On March 30, 1963 Marilyn married John P. Ward, who passed away March 3, 2003, just weeks shy of their 40th anniversary.

She retired from GTE in 1995.

Marilyn loved to read, use the computer, homemaking, and traveling. She had no children and no siblings; her beloved pets (dog Caesar and cat Siam) were her family.

Remaining to cherish her memory are her sister-in-law, Pat, and brother-in-law, Tom Pomerleau and their daughter Darcy; sister-in-law, Nancy, and brother-in-law, Peter Castonia and their son Jason, all of Maine; very special friends, Don, Teri, Matt, Shantell, Gage, and Hunter Rumsey of Three Rivers.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
