Her family will receive friends Monday, September 28, 2026 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Oak Grove Cemetery, Coldwater.

Marlene Kay Mosher, 79, of Three Rivers, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at Laurels of Coldwater.

She was born August 30, 1947 in Douglas, the daughter of Archibald and Marjory (Preston) Hayes, and attended school in Flint and Holland.

Marlene married her first husband Duke Burns in 1964, together they had four daughters.

She worked for 20 years in manufacturing at Protective Coating. She enjoyed working with coworker Chris Summey, her work son. Before that she worked at Burger King for seven years. She liked working with people. She was a very direct person — she definitely let you know how she felt.

Marlene enjoyed camping, word searches, and watching the Hallmark Channel, and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Remaining to cherish her memory are four daughters, Robbin (Andrew) Walsh of Sturgis, Katherine Johnloz of Three Rivers, Rolynda Huntington of Muncie, Ind., and Virginia White of Sturgis; 14 grandchildren, Joshua (Haley) Johnloz of Marcellus, Elisia (Tyler) Pothoof of Coldwater, Loretta Johnloz (JD Conroy) of Three Rivers, Michael (Kara) Walsh of Sturgis, Caitlin (Kirby) Newnum of Mattawan, Raditc Huntington of Muncie, Ind., Ethan Huntington of Muncie, Ind., Anson Stroh of Sturgis, Ronnie (Krisi) Burns of Hemlock, Markisha Burns of Allegan, Paige White, Jacob White of Sturgis, Toby Burns of Sturgis, and Danielle Steward of Woodland; and 28 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Duke Burns; Bruce Mosher and Earl Smith; two brothers, Archie Hayes and Richard Hayes, and one sister, Frances Williams.

Donations in Marlene’s memory may be directed to her family in care of Katherine Johnloz. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
