Service Details

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of memorial services at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 10, 2021 at the Hohner Funeral Home, with Rev. Derl Keefer officiating. A video of the service is available here.

Obituary Notice

Mary Lou Frederick, age 85, of Three Rivers, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021 at the Bowman House where she resided. She was born in Three Rivers, MI., on March 8, 1936 the daughter of the late Earl and Viola (Burrow) Hitesman.

Mrs. Frederick graduated from Three Rivers High School and was united in marriage to the love of her life, the late Robert Earl Frederick, who preceded her in death on August 18, 2014. Mary Lou was also preceded by a sister Beverly and one grandson.

Mary Lou was a member of the Classic Car Club of Three Rivers. She truly enjoyed camping, knitting, doing crafts with her daughter, and the T.R. Boat Club. She loved to be around people and was an active member of the C.O.A. and faithful volunteer at the St. Joseph County Fair. Her true love and passion were her family and her friends.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, three children, Cathy (Doug) Wordelman, of Three Rivers, Steve (Joanne) Frederick, of Mansfield, CT., Jeff (Deb) Frederick, of Centreville, MI.; grandchildren, Mike (Jen) Wordelman, Casey (Ryan) Schnepp, Jennifer (Bill) Pratt, Amanda (Dana) Kelly, Donya (Peter) Vandenbrink, Kyle Frederick, Tyler (Jade) Frederick. Sixteen beloved great-grandchildren and numerous friends.

Additional Information

Memorial donations may be made directed to the Parkinson’s Foundation, American Heart Association, or Bowman Place of Three Rivers. Envelopes available and also may be sent to Hohner Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
