Obituary Notice
Mary Louise Barbee, 70, of Marcellus, passed away Monday, August 31, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born November 18, 1955 in Mishawaka, Ind., the daughter of George and Agnes (Nowacki) Osmanski, and graduated from Mishawaka High School with the Class of 1974. Mary grew up in Mishawaka and liked going on bike rides with her siblings. As a child, there were a lot of weekends filled with playing badminton and croquet. Monopoly and Old Maid were a couple of her favorite games. There was one trip Mary took with her sister, cousin, and a friend to a dude ranch in Wyoming. What a time that was, riding horses, going to local hangouts, and helping out at the ranch.
In 1977, she married Darrell Barbee. They enjoyed fishing, walking in the woods with their dogs, and gardening. They lived in Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, and Missouri.
Mary loved to garden and grew beautiful flowers. She also loved her animals and crocheting. She loved doing projects around the house and building things like planters for her flowers.
She was loving and caring and could be quite the comedian.
Remaining to cherish her memory are her very close friend, Mark Sponseller; brother, Michael (Kim) Osmanski; sisters, Joanne Sipocz and Evelyn Bowers; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Darrell; brother, George Osmanski; and nephew, Christopher Sipocz.

I always enjoyed sharing stories of our love of animals together! She sure had a big heart for them! She will be missed! May Aunt Mary rest in peace!
Thank you Ashley. Yes she really loved all of her pets. Every one of them was so special to her.❤️
Mary was great fun with a great sense of humor. Our trip to Wyoming (with her sister Joanne and cousin Mary Jo) was simply the best. Listening to music on 8-track tapes and sing along until we reached our destination. Riding in a helicopter and on horseback during our trip. I will always remember our time together. She was the best. Sending sincerest sympathy to her family and friends.
Thank you Charlene. Yes that trip was so much fun! Thanks for sharing more of that adventure!
