Minnie Francis George, 83, of Three Rivers and formerly of Paw Paw, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Edgewood Health & Rehabilitation.
She was born October 22, 1937 in Little Paint, Ky., the daughter of Eddie and Mary C. (Craft) George.
Minnie was a homemaker who had a green thumb. She enjoyed gardening, outside activities and picking blueberries, as well as cooking and Sunday dinners.
Remaining to cherish her memory are her sons, Robert (Kelly) George of Lawton, Terry (Melinda Breed) George of Paw Paw, and James “Scott” (Beth) George of Kalamazoo; daughter, Mary (Keith) Heighton of Gaylord; grandchildren, Veronica (Justin), Kelsey (Sean), Kate, Jason, Bethany, Rabecca (Brian), Nick (Britney), and A.J.; great-grandchildren, Shelby, Kennedy, and Denver; brothers, Roy (Donita) George of Paw Paw, Robert (Shirley) George of Hillsdale, and Bill (Shirley) George of Tennessee; sisters, Tress (Tom) Stanley of Paw Paw, Sue (Tom) Walter of Indiana, and Reka Jo Burchette of Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her significant other, Darryl Hair; 3 brothers, Jack, Jim, and Marvin; and 3 sisters, Barb, Edna May, and Lois.

Additional Information

Memorials in Minnie’s memory may be donated to the charity of one’s choice. Envelopes are available and may be sent to Hohner Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1018, Three Rivers, MI 49093 in care of arrangements.

  1. I am sorry to hear of Minnie’s passing, she will be missed by many. I wish I had known her earlier in her life as she stole my heart with her feisty spirit these last few years. God Bless all those that loved her.
