Obituary Notice

Nichole “Nickie” Mae Haines, 51, of Three Rivers, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 3, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born March 12, 1973 in Three Rivers to Larry and Patricia (Crego) Haines. Nickie was a fighter from the time of her birth weighing only 1 pound, 13 ounces and spending roughly 6 months in the hospital. This led to some challenges throughout her life which she worked hard to overcome.

Nickie graduated with the Class of 1992 from Three Rivers High School, where she excelled in athletics, playing varsity basketball and softball.  She went on to work as a dietary aide at local nursing homes.

When diagnosed with lung cancer in October of 2021, she continued to battle and fought to the very end. She entered the world a fighter and left as a fighter, making her family very proud.

She loved her family – especially her nieces and great-nephew – and always had high hopes for her future.

Remaining to cherish her memory are her parents, Larry and Patricia Haines; sisters, Michelle (Brian) Milnamow and Kim (Scott) Roderick; nieces, Briana Roderick, Morgan Roderick, Rachel (Shane) Rodenburg, and Olivia Milnamow; great-nephew, Nolan Adams; several beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
