Service Details

In accordance with Olive’s wishes cremation has taken place and private graveside services will be held at a later date.  Memorial services will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church at a later date this summer.

Obituary Notice

Olive Mae Kline, age 89, of Three Rivers, MI. passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 4, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on March 21, 1931 in Three Rivers, MI. the daughter of William and Clara (Noles) Stuebgen.

Mrs. Kline has been a resident of this area for most of her life.  She graduated from Three Rivers High School with the class of 1949 and often attended their gatherings.  After her wedding to Arden, she followed him up to Elmendorf AFB in Alaska. They were stationed in North Dakota, Ohio, Missouri and the UP of Michigan, among other places. After they returned to Three Rivers, she was a faithful member of St. John’s Lutheran Church where she used to sing in the choir.  She was also a Cub Scout Den Mother and helped with the Rolling Clovers 4-H club for all of her children. She enjoyed bowling and knitting socks.

Mrs. Kline was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Arden L. Kline in 2007; two sons, Randy and Raymond Kline; sister, Frances Miller; daughter-in-law, Alexandra Kline.

Olive is survived by her loving family, daughter, Renee (Jeffrey) Loucks, of Three Rivers; two sons, Robert (Becky) Kline, of Three Rivers and Patrick Kline, of Seattle; eight grandchildren and three step-grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and seven step great-grandchildren.

Additional Information

Memorials in Olive’s memory may be donated to St. Joseph County Animal Rescue Fund.  Donations can be mailed or dropped off to Hohner Funeral Home 1004 Arnold St., P.O. Box 1018, Three Rivers, MI. 49093 in care of arrangements.

  1. So sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. I always enjoyed getting to visit with her out by her mailbox when I delivered her mail. She was quite the character! I understand what you are going through right now because my mother passed away the day after your mother did.. our thoughts and prayers are with you.

  2. I will forever be grateful that I got to meet her and enjoy her bright and cheerful spirit. My thoughts and prayers to ask the family and friends who’s lives she touched as she did mine.. RIP lovely Olive!!!
