Obituary Notice
Peggy Castle Doherty, 77, of Las Vegas, Nev., passed away on Thursday February 15, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Peggy was born July 8, 1946 in Three Rivers, daughter of Vernon and Zelma (Davidhizar) Castle. She graduated from Three Rivers in 1964 and attended MSU graduating with the class of 1968. After which she taught school in LA, CA and became administrator of Hawthorne School District, in LA County. Peggy was named Woman of the Year in 2000 for the state California. Upon her retirement in 2003 she received commendation from the County of Las Angeles for service to the community.
Survived by her loving husband of 49 yrs. Pat Doherty of Las Vegas; brothers, Roy Castle, Vernon (Ellen) Castle, and John Castle; sister, Penny Kindig.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, sister Patty Lockwood and brother Dave Castle.

To all Peggy’s family and friends, I’m so sorry for your loss! Can’t remember the last time I saw her! She was a big part of my family’s life growing up! I practically lived at their house growing up, every summer and holidays! She probably kept Penny and I out of trouble more times than we could count cause she was always the “cool headed” one!
