The family will receive friends on Friday, March 26, 2021 at Hohner Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of memorial services beginning at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Brenda Deily will officiate.

Obituary Notice

Phyllis June Kerr, 88, of Three Rivers, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 22, 2021 at Safe Haven Assisted Living. She was born June 10, 1932 in Three Rivers, the daughter of the late Leonard and Esther (Neadder) Mohney.

Phyllis has been a lifetime resident of Three Rivers. On October 8, 1950 in Three Rivers, she was united in marriage to Robert Norman Kerr. Together they raised three children on the Centennial Farm on Hoffman Street, and shared 64 years of marriage before his passing in January 2015.

She was employed as a bus driver for Three Rivers Community Schools for 11 years and at Ridgeway Floral for many years. She was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church Three Rivers/Centreville.

A good Grandmother Kerr to all of her family, Phyllis was an avid reader who also enjoyed snowmobiling, camping up north, mushrooming and knitting.

Remaining to cherish her memory are three children, Paula (John) Snivley of Coldwater, Kristine (Jim) Gushwa of Jones and Mark Kerr of Three Rivers; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Clayton and Lee Mohney; sisters, Bonnie Arney and Betty Lou Rice; sister-in-law, Kathy Mohney; several nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, one brother, one sister-in-law and one brother-in-law.

Additional Information

Memorials may be donated to the First Presbyterian Church of Three Rivers. Envelopes are available at the funeral home in care of Phyllis’ arrangements.

  1. jSo enjoyed my friendship with Phyllis over the many years. She was a cheerful and upbeat friend. I remember many happy days in Sunday School at St. John’s with Paula, Kris and Mark. God Bless all of you and your families at this sad time. Phyllis, we’ll miss you, and know you are with our Lord. Marlene

  2. Oh Phyllis, you will be missed! We became reacquainted with Phyllis a few years ago during her stay at Safe Haven. A joy to be around, always appreciating our time spent together.

  3. We knew Bob and Phyllis through St. Joe Valley Old Engine Association. Phyllis was always a pleasant, hard worker in the food shoppe and a pleasure to be with.

  4. My memory of Phyllis is of her working at Ridgeway Floral. She was such a hard worker and also was so knowledge of the Three Rivers area. This helped her find the homes and businesses for the many floral deliveries she made.
