Service Details

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers, and Thursday, May 12, 2022 from noon – 1:00 p.m. at Moorepark Community Church, 55701 Wilbur Rd., Three Rivers. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Bud Granger officiating.

Obituary Notice

Robert James “Jim” Ellis, 54, of Three Rivers, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, May 3, 2022, while at work.

He was born September 19, 1967 in Norfolk, VA, the son of Robert and Sally (Leister) Ellis.

Jim attended Constantine High School.

He was a dedicated maintenance worker at Precision Wire and also helped out part-time at Beech Grove RV Service in Marcellus. He previously worked at Armstrong and Sturgis Foundry. Jim was very handy and smart at troubleshooting and repairing anything. He loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed playing golf, pool and watching Nascar.

On October 17, 1998, Jim married Anissa Leeth. Jim and Anissa loved spending time together camping, fishing, planting their garden and canning together. Together they enjoyed watching their children play sports. They loved spending time with their children and many close friends.

Jim played golf at St. Joseph Valley Golf on Monday Night League. He had played previously on the Moose Pool League, he also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, bonfires and bowling. He attended Moorepark Community Church and enjoyed fellowship with his bible study group.

Remaining to cherish his memory are his parents, Robert (June) Ellis and Sally Leister; wife, Anissa Ellis; son, Trevor Ellis; daughter, Jenna Ellis; brother, Craig Ellis; step sister and brother; beloved nieces, nephews, and great-nieces; his God Sons Adakin Dewitt and Moe Hunt.

Additional Information

Donations in Jim’s memory may be directed to his wife and kids. Envelopes are available at the funeral home in care of his arrangements.

  1. Anissa and family, I am SO VERY sorry to hear about Jim. For 14 years I had the pleasure of waiting on him at the Credit Union. He was always happy & brought a smile to my face. I can’t imagine your loss. I send hugs to you all.

    • Jim was a wonderful person, I had the pleasure of working with him every day and I am blessed to have been able to know him and he will be Soo very much missed. Praying for the family and my deepest condolences for their loss.
