Obituary Notice
Rodney Lane Rudd, 86, of Three Rivers, passed away Monday, August 24, 2026 at his home.
He was born February 22, 1940 in Penn Township, the son of Harold and Verna (Hackenburg) Rudd, and graduated from Cassopolis High School with the Class of 1958. In high school he ran track and played baseball.
Rodney worked at Armstrong Machine Works for 30 years, doing heat treatment.
He served his country in the United States Army from 1960-63, earning the rank of SP-4.
On May 2, 1964, he married Anne Louise Wignall; they shared 51 years together before her passing in 2015.
Rodney loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also very much enjoyed the outdoors – camping, fishing, hunting, and mushrooming – plus doing word searches and playing Solitaire.
Remaining to cherish his memory are his son, Jeff (Christine) Rudd; daughters, Amy (Daniel) White and Sharon Rudd (Mark Page); grandchildren, Hannah (Joseph) Perez, Weston (Haven) White, Lucas (Emilee) Rudd, Matthew Rudd (Natalie Moore), Angel (Tyler) Guild, and Ashley (Uly) Brambila; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Perez, James Perez, and two on the way; brothers, George (Rosemary) Rudd and Doug Rudd; sister, Barbara Jean (Jim) Knight; sister-in-law, Colleen Rudd; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Anne Rudd; and brother, Robert Rudd.

Rodney was such a character and I loved him immensely. Sharon, Amy and Jeff are my family not by blood but by choice. I know how proud he was of his children and they have made him proud. His legacy lives on in those that loved him and he will be missed by so many. Love you Rudd family ❤️ Jen

So very sorry for your loss. Rodney was one of my husband Tom’s favorite friends. He was one of “ the Good Ole’ Boys” from a long list of Armstrong guys who prevailed as happy and resourceful Armstrong employees in “the GOOD OLE’ DAYS” when Armstrongs was the most sought after places to work in TR. Many happy memories and Anne and Rodney are and forever will be missed😔🙏❤️
