A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Mottville Community Church at 10221 John St., White Pigeon with Pastor Dustin Peckinpaugh officiating.

Obituary Notice

Roschell Gearhart, 64, of White Pigeon, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born March 20, 1959 in Livonia, MI the daughter of William and Ione (Fairbanks) Long.

Roschell enjoyed going to garage sales, arts and crafts, watching the Michigan Wolverines play football and most importantly, spending time with her grandchildren.

She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, fun loving and always full of laughs. Summer was her favorite season and she loved being outdoors.

Remaining to cherish her memory are her daughters, Tara Smith (Jamey), Katie Blaker, and Erica Nix (Justin); grandchildren, Dean, Calista, Taylor, Jaylee, James, Olivia, Kadance, Ambrose, Sky, Lane, Ethan, and Elijah; great-granddaughter, Emery; brother, Harold Long; sisters, Barbara Brown, Jamie Radle, Michelle McNeal, and Tina Hagen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, William Long; and sister, Everyl Long.

  1. Dear Family, So very sorry for the loss of beautiful Shelly. She will be missed deeply by so many. We hadn’t seen Shelly in a while but when I picture her in my mind I see her beautiful smile. She was always very kind and friendly . Chuck and I will be thinking and praying for all.

  2. Our deepest condolences to the whole Long family. Our hearts are broken over the loss of a beautiful soul as cousin Shelly. To her wonderful daughters, brother & sisters we send our love. She was strong in her Faith & is now lovingly in His arms. Rest easy sweet girl till we meet again❤️
