Service Details
After a Gift of Life procedure, cremation has taken place and a memorial service to honor and celebrate his life will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023, at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers, MI 49093 beginning at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends during a visitation at the funeral home on Thursday, July 27, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, with a Rosary service beginning at 6:30 PM. Obituary Notice
Ryan Kokx, 50, of Three Rivers, passed away at Ascension Borgess Hospital on July 19, 2023, with his loving family at his side. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI, on April 19, 1973, the son of Jerome ‘Jerry’ and Mary (Schenk) Kokx. He was a graduate of Wyoming Park High School and eventually made Three Rivers his home. He worked hard at American Axle and was a member of the UAW Local 2093. When not working he most enjoyed spending time at home and with those closest to him. He was an avid jokester who loved to get a rise out of people. He enjoyed cooking, watching the Food Network and sharing meals with friends. Above all Ryan loved his family. He was a loving husband and father who was especially proud of his children. His smile, laughter and kindness will be missed by all who knew him. Ryan is married to the love of his life, Tammy (Hitsman) Kokx, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Christian and Mj; parents, Jerry and Mary; sister, Nicole (Ken) Inman; in-laws, Ronald Hitsman and Linda (Aaron) Gridley; close friend, Steve (Kim) Haskill; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family.

I am truly sorry for your loss sending prayers. I used to talk to him all the time at Axle about old 80’s action movies we would exchange our favorite lines from the movies, he will be missed.
