A celebration of Sandra’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the Hohner Funeral Home with Mr. Scott Cooper officiating.

Obituary Notice

Mrs. Sandra Lou Zimmerman, age 63, of Three Rivers, passed away suddenly on February 17, 2018 at her home. She was born on June 23, 1954 in St. Marys, Pennsylvania the daughter of Amos and Doris (Faranbaugh) Anderson.

Mrs. Zimmerman served her country in the U.S. Army as a P.F.C. from 1972 to 1973. Following her tenure in the Army, Sandra worked as a secretary for Reforger and also for multiple churches as well. While in Virginia Sandy became a master gardener as served as secretary for the Rippin Run Garden Club and volunteer for the Greene County Virginia Animal shelter. She also worked for the Madison County S.P.C.A. Sandy and Paul are faithful members of Common Ground Church. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and wife. Sandra loved nature, especially her flower gardens, and writing poetry.

Sandra was preceded in death by her father, Amos Anderson.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, husband, Paul Zimmerman, of Three Rivers; her mother, Doris Anderson, of Goshen, IN.; two children, Mark (Anna) Zimmerman, of Raleigh, N.C., and Amanda (John) Jones, and their sons, Ryan and Anderson, of Ruckersville, VA.; three sisters, Darlene (Kent) Wilson, Tami (Scott) Cooper, and Amy Anderson, all of Goshen, IN.; one brother, Randy (Vicki) Anderson, of Cassopolis, MI. Several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the Three Rivers Fire Department. Envelopes available at the funeral home.
