Dear Cummings family:
Sharon was always a gracious hostess who made us feel welcome in her home.
Despite the many years since I’ve seen her, I can still remember her kindness, her smile, her hospitality, and her love.
May memories of her love comfort you.
Blessings,
Les Kistler
Mrs. Cummings was my 2nd grade teacher. She was always very encouraging and supportive. She saw the potential in each of her students even when they couldn´t see it in themselves. She was the reason I went into education and I am blessed by the examples she displayed in the classroom. A student isn´t just a grade on a report card. They are so much more. Thank you for seeing that in me.
Dear Troy, Leonora and all the Cummings Family,
Matthew joins me in offering our deepest condolences to you. ‘Mum’ Cummings was a trailblazer, being a career woman at a time when that wasn’t so common. She sure set a fine example to her children (who are all creative) of the importance of living a creative life. She was kind and had a generosity of spirit. When we went for a visit at ‘The Ridge,’ she and Mr. Cummings made us feel very welcomed. It’s a relief that her suffering is over. Her legacy of adding beauty to the world lives on in her family. She was blessed to have her whole family by her side at the end of her life.
To the Cummings family: As someone who is a friend of Mrs.Cummings daughter in law Leonora, I almost feel like I know all of you. I have heard so many stories of times at the cottage, and annual cookie bakes. Stories of a family who were intentional in strengthening and maintaining their bonds, valuing the importance of family and each other. Praying the Lord brings you comfort through this difficult time.
Troy and Leanora, our sincere condolences. May God give you comfort during this difficult time. Love you guys!
Carl, my sympathy to you and your family. Sharon was a cousin to one of my best friends, Evelyn Snearly Smith. In addition to that, you and my brother Jim Plank were good friends when we all lived on Rice Street. So many memories. May the Lord bless and comfort you. Marlene Plank Taska
Mrs. Cummings was my second and fifth grade teacher at Baldwin Prairie Elementary in Union, MI. She was very well liked by myself as well as my mom, the custodian there for over 20 years. I will remember Mrs. Cummings as kind, caring and fair. These are just some of the qualities I admired in her then, and hope to continue to carry on in my 30th year of teaching today.
Troy & family, I’m very sorry for your loss. As an educator and school leader, your mom / wife / grandmother / great-grandmother made a large impact on many people; her legacy lives on in you. My deepest condolences for your loss.
Carl and Family prayers for comfort and peace at a time of great lost!
So sorry for your loss Carl, thoughts and prayers are with you and the whole Cumming’s family.
Sharon was a sweetie and will be missed by all who knew her.
The entire Cummings family is in our thoughts and prayers.
I would like to extend my deepest heart felt condolences to your family in the loss of Sharon. I had the pleasure of being Sharon’s nail technician for roughly 15 years. I enjoyed seeing her every 3 weeks and talking with her about a variety of her favorite subjects. Through the years, I loved hearing her talk about her painting and other art projects that she was working on. We also love to talk about her and Carl’s gardens and the 100s of tulip bulbs that they planted over the years. We also shared story’s about how many Sandhill Cranes that we use to see in our neck of the woods. I could tell that she loved her family deeply, and lit up when speaking about her children and grandchildren. She was a special person and touched many with her sweet spirit. May she rest in peace.
Brent and Allison,
Thinking of you and your family. May your memories bring you comfort during this difficult time.
