In accordance to Shirley’s wishes, cremation will be conducted; she will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery at a later date.
Obituary Notice
Shirley Lillian Schultz, 85, of Three Rivers, passed away at her home on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
She was born on June 24, 1941 in Flowerfield Township. She was the daughter of Calvin and Gladys (Holderman) Jones.
On September 3, 1960, Shirley married the love of her life, Ronald L. Schultz. If you were looking for Shirley then you would always find Ron by her side. They enjoyed many years camping in Mesick, traveling to Florida, mushroom hunting, playing cards, and going to the casino.
After the passing of her beloved Ron, she enjoyed sewing, buying her favorite scratch offs, mowing the lawn, listening to old country music and going to the casino with her sister, Marie. But most of all she cherished the time she was able to visit her grandchildren and great grandchildren; she loved watching the little ones play. Shirley also adored her small yorkie, Gidget, who was her companion for many years.
While Shirley was a homemaker by trade, she spent many years working part time jobs. Her favorite job was stocking cards for Hallmark. She was an incredibly independent woman who enjoyed the simple things in life. Shirley was never one to ask for help, but her son Randy and her grandchildren made sure she was always taken care of.
Remaining to cherish her memory are her son: Randy (Kristine) Schultz; Sister, Georgia Hartzell; Grandchildren: Alicia (Matt) Finnerman; Monica (Jordan) Lawson, Gracie Schultz, Ashlee (Chase) Huyck, Ryan (Cait) Schultz, Taylor Schultz, and Step-Grandson: Rhylee Herr. She was also blessed with many Great-Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Schultz; two daughters, Penny Schultz and Mikki Ulrich; her parents: Calvin Jones and Gladys Walker; three sisters: Rozona Auge, Ester Davis, Marie Frye; two brothers: William Jones and Lester Jones.

She was a very nice lady. She always made a point to say hi when I would see her. There was no doubt that she was dearly loved by her family.
