Cremation will take place and visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until time of memorial services beginning at 11:30 a.m. at Howardsville Gospel Chapel, 53441 Bent Rd., Marcellus, MI 49067 with Pastor Nick Dimmick and Ric Gilson officiating.

Obituary Notice

Stephen B. Adams of Marcellus went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 3, 2024. Steve was born March 26, 1954, the son of the late William D. and Marilyn (Raifsnider) Adams of Three Rivers. Steve was a 1972 graduate of Three Rivers High School. In 1976 he married Tracy Buckhold of Three Rivers. He is survived by wife Tracy Adams; son Jason (Laurie) Adams of Zeeland, MI, daughter April Barnhart of Three Rivers; grandchildren Noah Adams, Emma Adams, Brady Barnhart, and Megan Barnhart; brother Philip (Ann) Adams and niece Tina (John) Steiner. He was very close to his brothers- and sisters-in-law, Linda (Milton) Burdick, Amy (Rodney) Arnold, and Ronald (Patricia) Buckhold; many nieces and nephews; and good friends the Gilsons and Masts in the Dominos club.

Steve attended Three Rivers Bible Church for many years, and more recently Howardsville Gospel Chapel.

Steve worked at Johnson Corporation, Three Rivers for over 30 years and after retiring worked at Vetter Chevrolet. He enjoyed working on his vehicle and volunteering with maintenance and upkeep on the soccer field at Howardsville Christian School. In recent years as his health declined he spent many hours reading his Bible and drawing closer to his Savior.

  1. Dear Tracy- Sorry to hear about Steve. My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Although our hearts hurt for a time , we know that his faith and assurance was his salvation and that he is at peace. I pray that you and your family will be blessed with the comfort and peace that our Lord promises at times such as this. Tracy Miller

  3. I second the sentiments of Roger Kaiser. We all grew up together in the old Third Ward/Millard St area. We all spent many hour together playing ball and having fun.

  5. So sorry to hear about Steve’s passing. We had a lot of good times at Johnson Corporation as I also put in over 30 years at Joco . Steve and I worked on many projects together and he was always willing to jump in and help out, he was that kinda guy. My condolences to the family. Rest in peace Steve.

      Phil and I are so sorry to hear about Steve’s passing. I remember working with Steve at The Johnson Corporation. He was a good guy and was always helpful. Phil remembers the good times with Steve in high school. May God give you strength, peace and comfort in the days ahead.

  6. Please tell his brother, Phil that I’m thinking of him. I’m so sorry and I beam him a hug. Also let Tina know that I wonder how she is. They were a big part of my life for many years.
