Obituary Notice

Mrs. Tana Jo Kaiser, age 72, of Three Rivers, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, January 28, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 19th, 1946 in Three Rivers, MI., the daughter of the late Josephine (Mikosz) Guthrie.

Tana has been a life long resident of Three Rivers. On June 19th, 1965 she married the love of her life Mr. Danny Kaiser Sr. Tanas true passion was raising her two children, Mondae and Danny Jr. She adored her grandchildren and spent as much time with them as she could. Tana also had the privilege of being a special grandmato Trevor, Alan, and Hannah McEnroe.

Tana and her husband Danny loved to travel. Their favorite destinations were Jamaica and Key Colony Beach, Florida. Tana enjoyed bowling on Thursday afternoons, playing Bunco on Friday evenings, and was a member of the Lady of LakesRed Hat Society. Tana loved tagging along to endless hockey games to watch her grandson Jaxon skate. She loved her Shipshewana Flea market adventures and spur of the moment trips to B&G with her granddaughter Jalynne and enjoyed movie nightswith her grandson Clinton. Tana was an avid walker and enjoyed her strolls with neighbors Maureen Lang, Cheryl Buckhold, and Lynn Zeiler. She also loved spending a sunny summer Sunday afternoon at the end of Harry and Mary Sue Pollitts dock.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Danny Kaiser Sr., and one sister, Ana Jo Datema.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, one daughter, Mondae (Mike) Dobrowolski, of Three Rivers; one son, Danny Kaiser Jr., of Three Rivers; three grandchildren Jalynne and Jaxon Dobrowolski, and Clinton Kaiser; and very special friends Harry and Mary Sue Pollitt, Judy Stiteler, Sue Beckwith, and Lynn Zeiler.

Additional Information

Memorials may be donated to the Van Andel Institute for Cancer and Parkinson’s Research in Tanas memory. Envelopes are available at the Hohner Funeral Home in care of her arrangements.

  1. I had so many memories with this lady. We laughed, made cookies, drank wine and ate gourmet cheeses! Watched Dirty Dancing 15 times! Just so much love in that home. I was glad i got to know Tana and the family. She will be missed greatly. Sincerely, Lynn, Ken, Gary Martin

  2. Tana loved being a mom and grandma. I always remember Tana’s face lighting up when Mondae came home from work and she could come check on Jalynne and Jaxon.
    We will miss Grandma Tana!

  3. I have truly enjoyed getting to know Tana over the past several years . We often would join up and walk together plus , getting to know each other in our wonderful Bunco group.
