Obituary Notice
Yvonne Copper, 70, of Three Rivers, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2024 at Ascension Borgess Hospital.
She was born February 7, 1954 in Chicago, Il., the daughter of Earl Hodges and Maebell (McCloud) Dobine, and graduated from Three Rivers High School with the Class of 1972.
Yvonne cared for others as a nurse’s aide for 33 years at Optalis Health and Rehabilitation of Three Rivers, formerly Heartland Health Care Center. Yvonne enjoyed playing bingo and games with her family. She enjoyed watching movies and basketball with family and friends.
Yvonne went on a cruise for her 50th birthday and had a wonderful time seeing the islands in the Bahamas. Yvonne had a passion for music, she made many playlists to play during family gatherings.
Remaining to cherish her memory are three children, Jacquelyn Copper of Las Vegas, Nev., DeAnna Copper of Three Rivers and Mersaydez Cummings of Three Rivers. One sister Jacquelyn Gordon. Two grandchildren Marquetta Dilworth of Chicago and Jackson Malek Bouie of Kalamazoo. Also a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Maebell Dobine and Earl Hodges. Her sister Marilyn Lawton and brother Bill Copper.

Donations in Yvonne’s memory may be directed to the Copper family. Envelopes will be available at Hohner Funeral Home.

Jackie was a great person. She cared about her residents and coworkers. It was a pleasure and blessing work with her. May she have Eternal Rest.
Aunt C one of the strongest women I’ve ever met. A super big heart. I loved spending the summers with her as a kid. A sweetheart but don’t disrespect her or what’s hers you might live to tell the story. You will be missed dearly. Take your rest though Auntie. Love you

To the family of Yvonne – I was a fellow classmate of Yvonne. She always had a smile & a sweetness about her. Always laughing & seemed happy. So sad to read of her passing.

Miss Cookie is how I knew her. She was the most sweetest woman with the biggest heart. I will never forget her huge smile and that cute little chuckle of a laugh. Rest in Jesus Arms. You are loved and forever will be missed.
